How To Improve Gas Mileage By Doing Nothing

If you're new here, for the very latest fuel and money-saving tips for your car, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

If you absolutely, positively want to have the best car gas mileage possible, I have one suggestion for you:

Do nothing.

That’s right. Give up the family vacation. Sell your home and move closer to work. Stop going out to visit friends and family.

Stay home and be content with viewing the natural beauty of the world through your kitchen window instead of going to the country, going camping, taking a drive and tasting the fresh air and warm sun for yourself.

Learn to be happy with $4, $5, $8 (or more) a gallon gas. Throw your hands up in the air when somebody complains about gas prices and resign, “What else can you do?”

Yeah, RIGHT!!!

If you’ve read this far, then I don’t for a second believe that is you at all. I bet you’re willing to take a little action to save money and use less fuel without having to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a new hybrid.

Take back the family vacation.

Visit friends and family who live out of town.

Take those trips to the lake and out to the country.

Reject high gas prices - forever!

When I started researching this several months ago, one really interesting solution kept coming up again and again. Based on a form of Hydrogen Cells technology, this simple design reclaims a portion of the wasted energy in your gas or diesel engine and enables it to run cleaner, more effectively, and most importantly, with less fuel.

I found quite a few hydrogen conversion plans available, but the one I focused on was at Water 4 gas. This site has thriving community support with new, active members showing up all over the country - even other countries. The plans have been translated into 9 different languages, and the site keeps on growing.

To be quite honest, I was skeptical. My college major was Physics, and the science just didn’t make any sense. Any high schooler who has taken even a semester of introductory science knows that you don’t get free energy out of thin air - or in this case, distilled water.

After some careful research I then learned that that so-called “free energy” was not what they were after at all.

In the same way that an expensive hybrid automobile recaptures some of the excess energy in your gasoline engine to give you the best car gas mileage from your engine, the hydrogen cells in these designs use excess electricity from your car’s alternator to release moderate amounts of hydrogen from distilled water and electrolytes. This potent hydrogen gas mixes with your car’s normal liquid gas in very minute amounts like a high-octane additive, causing the fuel to ignite faster and burn more efficiently.

After a hydrogen car fuel cell makeover, your car runs cleaner, even a bit quieter, using less fuel without having to spend tens of thousands on a new car, or even thousands extra on a hybrid.

The part that really impressed me is that this isn’t new technology at all. It’s based on patented discoveries made many years ago. There is even a Canadian company that has been making nearly identical add-ons for big rig diesel trucks for years with results effective enough that you can trade shares of their company on the stock exchange.

But don’t take my word for it - see for yourself. Get a copy of the plans here and take a look tonight. Spend some time and think about it, and figure out if it’s right for you. While most people with basic tool skills should be able to make this modification, if you want help, take the plans to your family mechanic and figure out how the two of you can do it together.

While you’re there, check out the forums and talk to their large community base - even find someone in your area that has made this conversion already. Your pain from high gas prices is shared by everyone, and you’ll find that the forum community is truly understanding and willing to help.

If you decide it’s not for you - then you’re still in luck. You have 60 days to make a decision - just ask for your money back at any time if you change your mind. By then you’ll know for a fact whether you want to make a small change to your car, or leave it alone and change your lifestyle. Either way it will be an informed decision.

I’m not going to kid you. By the time you’re done, you’ll probably have a few hours of work into it and have invested around $200 for the plans and parts. However, this investment should repay itself in two to three months as you find yourself saving 15%, 20%, even 40% (or more) on your gas. Additionally, you should quality for a green energy rebate from the IRS (that’s one of the bonuses you get for joining the community, they give you the forms and explain all of the details on this instant tax credit), which will easily cover your out-of-pocket expenses.

Remember, click here to see the plans for yourself. Introduce yourself on the community forums. Mention that you are from CarFuelSaving.com and I will welcome you there personally.

Use Water to Fuel Your Car - Simple Modification

Posted by User ImageCar Fuel Saving  Published in Fuel Alternatives

If you’ve filled up your tank with gas lately, you know the current problem: gas prices are higher every day with no end in sight. Pollution from burning fossil fuels and releasing gases such as carbon may even be permanently changing the world’s climate. Brown clouds of fumes and filth hang over every major city in the United States.

And that’s just the start. As more and more of the world’s nations can afford their own personal transportation, gas will be in shorter and shorter supply, with more pollution yet to come.

Brown's Gas Bubbler

However, there may be better ways to fuel your car and cut down on the cost of gas, as well as the pollution.

Sometime’s called “Brown’s Gas” or HHO fuel, more and more people are turning to simple tap water to improve their fuel economy and save money on gas. Different from water hybrids or hydrogen fuel cell technology, water-enhanced vehicles are not currently available from major automobile dealerships.

Still experimental, there are at least 10 different ways that water can be used to fuel your vehicle. To confuse the issue even further, designs and step by step procedures have been scattered across the internet and book stores with no clear path in sight.

Now, for some good news.

Coming soon: groups of at-home engineers motivated to find a solution to higher fuel prices and cut down on harmful emissions have found feasible, low-cost ways to modify your car to run on HHO Brown’s Gas. They have been working on ways to make the modifications simply and painlessly such that anyone with basic tool skills could implement a change in their car or truck. Some of the recent work that I have seen claims 35% to 70% improved fuel economy. The possibility of cutting down emissions and reducing rising the effects on the environment are impressive. Not only that, but adapting your car to this new form of “Water Hybrid” can mean less carbon build-up in your engine, reducing wear and tear on your vehicle.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t really have a special garage, special tools, or the know-how to do a lot of work on my car. However, one of the plans I saw claimed even *I* could do this, with easy step-by-step instructions that wouldn’t void my car’s warranty.

I’m trying to get my hands now on these plans. Stay tuned - before I make a recommendation I want to check this out myself - and I’ll keep you filled in on my progress along the way.

Using Water For Fuel: Save Money, Save Environment

Posted by User ImageCar Fuel Saving  Published in Fuel Alternatives

It’s true that today’s rising gas prices are something we all hate. However, we really have only ourselves to blame. In fact, they’re just one example of how our reliance on nonrenewable and polluting fossil fuels can ruin not just our standard of living, but earth itself.

Even though rising gas prices are a problem and may literally put our families and us in the poor house, the damage we do with these fuel sources to both our environment and ourselves is even worse than what’s currently being done to our financial well being. It’s time we did something better.

If we don’t depend on nonrenewable and decidedly environmentally unfriendly fossil fuel sources such as gas to give us our energy needs, then, what do we do?

Enter water fuel. Water fuel conversion technology has been in the works for years, but it’s an idea whose time has finally come. Yes, you can run your car at least partially on water fuel; not only will you provide significant savings to yourself and your family by utilizing this technology, but you will be helping the planet out significantly as well.

When you do water fuel conversion, you’ll about double your gas mileage versus what you’re getting now. Besides that, you and your family will also be helping the environment in a very positive way, because you’ll be contributing much less carbon monoxide and dioxide, as well as other pollutants, into the atmosphere every time you drive somewhere.

Perhaps best of all, the technology is quite cheap. The conversion itself is going to cost you about $100, but you’ll save that much in gas money in a very short period of time. You’ll make back your initial investment and you’ll save both fuel and money.

This may even make you and your family able to resist a recession, because the savings will give you a financial cushion others may not have. In addition, the government also gives you a tax write off when you use this type of technology, which is yet another opportunity to save some money.

Instead, your children can see you take steps to help the environment by helping alleviate global warming and other negative environment effects as they grow up. In turn, this can teach them lessons that making carry with them as adults. Then they, too, can live their lives knowing that their actions impact the environment and living accordingly.

Utilizing water fuel conversion technology is just one smart way among many to be both financially and environmentally conscientious.

Fuel Alternatives For Your Car: Biodiesel…and Water?

Posted by User ImageCar Fuel Saving  Published in Fuel Alternatives

Face it; we’re all worried about rising gas prices, but it’s not just about driving to and from work without breaking the bank. Yes, gas prices have risen past three dollars gallon, but it’s not just each driver who is affected.

In fact, rising gas prices have had an impact on everything from food prices to consumer goods; really, they impact just about everything we buy. In fact, rising gas prices have had a very negative impact on the economy as a whole.

Because of our nearly mindless reliance on fossil fuels over past generations, we’ve only given a passing nod to other alternative and renewable energy sources such as water fuels and biodiesel.

However, that’s over. Now, we must look at these alternative fuel sources. We must pay attention to them simply because we have no choice.

Biodiesel fuels and water fuels are both renewable and environmentally friendly energy sources that we can fuel our cars with. These fuels are available now and can positively impact both the environment and our wallets.

Biodiesel fuels utilize plant sources such as corn to produce oil. The oil is then burned as a fuel source. Biodiesel can also re-use used cooking oils such as those discarded by restaurants; this is a great way to keep more waste out of landfills. Biodiesel fuels are completely renewable energy sources and can burn somewhat cleaner than fossil fuels can, so that they can be a much better alternative to fossil fuels such as gasoline to fuel cars with.

We can also use water fuel to make fossil fuel resources go further. With water fuel, some gas is also used, but the technology lets consumers get many more miles per gallon of gas than could be had without it.

With water fuel, mileage per gallon of gas roughly doubles versus that of gasoline alone. You install the conversion kit in your car and the electric current from a battery “burns” water so that you are presented with a very efficient fuel source. This technology has been available for quite some time, but it’s becoming more popular now because customers need to get more out of each gallon of gas they use.

There are a couple of drawbacks to biodiesel fuel at present. Although biodiesel is renewable, it produces some pollution. In addition, there is some question about its usefulness as a renewable energy source because it has been suggested that more fossil fuel is used during biodiesel production than is actually saved by using biodiesel instead of gas. Because of this, water fuel may be a better renewable fuel source than biodiesel.

However, water conversion kits may not be available in every area, which would make biodiesel a fine alternative instead. This is especially true if your biodiesel would come from used cooking oils. And as technology gets better, biodiesel will likely become a much more efficient fuel source because it will no longer be manufactured by using fossil fuels. Instead, biodiesel will be produced by using alternative fuels instead.

Regardless of the concerns such as those addressed above, our indiscriminate reliance on fossil fuels is over. We can no longer treat them as though they are renewable sources available to us in endless supply. It’s true that rising gas prices are inconvenient and a hardship, but they also make us pay attention to the fact that we simply must change our behavior.

Water fuels and biodiesel fuels are two fuel sources that can help us both save money and the environment.
